The movie Paan Singh Tomar is based on a real story of an Indian athlete turned into rebel. Film is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Paan Singh Tomar, a native from small town of Madhya Pradesh joins the Bengal Engineers to earn livelihood. He earns name for running in grounds for continuous seven years. One day he finds himself in valleys of Chambal as dacoit. Film was premiered in British Film Institute London Film Festival in 2010. Film star cast is Irrfan Khan and Mahi Gill along side other artists.
Film’s most attracting feature is its picturization. First time a Hindi film is shot in real Chambal valleys and Roorkee up hills, one of the oldest army cantonments in India and other real life places.
